Securing a busy civil construction site isn’t always straightforward, especially when you’re relying on multiple vendors and disjointed systems. One civil contractor we worked with was juggling three different security providers just to keep their projects monitored, leading to confusion, inefficiencies, and mounting costs.
Too Many Systems, Not Enough Control
Before discovering Sitesec, this contractor relied on a patchwork of:
It wasn’t just expensive, it was inefficient. Staff had to log into multiple platforms to access footage, manually coordinate patrols, and manage contracts with three separate vendors.
“It felt like we were spending more time managing the security setup than actually using it
One Platform, Total Visibility
This changed when they brought Sitesec on board.
Within days, the Sitesec team installed all-in-one surveillance systems across their sites. Our construction-specific security camera hire solutions provided:
Simpler, Smarter Site Security
With Sitesec, the team no longer needed to coordinate with multiple suppliers. Everything was visible and manageable in one place, from their phones, tablets, or computers.
The impact?
Our focus not only providing great vision on Civil site, but generating accurate alarms to scare off intruders before they get the opportunity to steal and damage equipment.
The Sitesec team will conduct a site scope to determine access points and where valuable items will be located, to determine the most efficient setup. This setup can be a combination of systems, or as efficient as a single Sitesec Max system.
Once the work has been completed for the day, the system will cross over to its after-hours alarm mode, monitoring the site for any people or vehicles.
Using AI, the system detects anyone across a large area, and the PTZ camera quickly zooms in to capture details such as a number plate or a face.
All of this is completed without any human input, while the camera is sounding a loud on-site siren.
To determine the next steps, our 24/7 control room will have a live video feed of the incident, where they can contact the site manager or the police depending on the circumstances.
